As a Catholic, the Chistmas season begins on Christmas and last through the Epiphany. The time before Christmas is Advent. One symbol is the Advent Wreath. I wanted a little brooch for the season, so I can remember Advent as a time of preparation and joyful expectation.
It is a simple idea. I chained ten, and joined in a circle. On the first round I single chained into each stitch. On the second round, I double chained into every stitch. I then sewed on a pin back, and three purple and one pink bead as the candles. Feel free to make your own style ring and sew on the beads of purple and pink.
